Cold Springs Lodge is a magnificent, sprawling Adirondack Great Camp.   Known in the 19th century as a "high toned" camp, the Lodge compliments the wilderness of 4th Lake on the Fulton Chain of Lakes.  In the early 20th century the "camp" was expanded and given a Swiss lodge-like appearance.  Modern conveniences were a part of that expansion. The charming integrity of the Lodge has been protected over the years.  

 

Situated on the north shore of the lake, with more than 400 feet of pristine lakefront  and 12 acres of forests, the Lodge is an ideal venue for family reunions, small weddings, or private retreats.  

 

Brick paved walkways and a meandering stream to the left is a cheerful greeting upon arrival.  A wide, wrap-around covered porch with spectacular lake views is your welcoming access to the Lodge.  

 

The first level offers a spacious entry which leads to a functional kitchen plus a family room with picturesque views and wood burning fireplace.  Moving forward enter into a more formal dining area, suitable for meetings.  Its bay windows hold a secret worth exploring.   Enter the french doors into a large living/media room with a granite fireplace.  There is also a separate half bath and laundry room on the first floor.

 

An ornate staircase leads upstairs to the eight bedrooms each with closets- a rare feature of the 20th century bedrooms.  The master ensuite is reminiscent of the "gilded age".   Enjoy your coffee on a balcony overlooking the lake.  A fireplace, full bath, plus "my lady's" dressing room complete the master.   An exit staircase is available from upstairs for additional privacy and convenience. 

 

Outside once again, enjoy a large dock suitable to tie up a boat or two.  Off the dock is deep water swimming.  Choose your spot for sunbathing, dozing, meditating or enjoying a good book.

 

While Cold Springs Lodge is privately tucked away in the deep woods off the main road, it is just a short drive or boat ride away to the towns of Old Forge and Inlet.   Many fond memories await you at this classic Adirondack lodge.
